Cirque Dreams: Holidaze Newark Theatre reviews
Excellent concert
The concert was excellent, playing their hearts out, both bands. I had seen Cirque Dreams: Holidaze previously and much prefer the opening band choice this time. Similar musical stylings. Second time at RV Inn stadium. VIP parking was worth the money. I would prefer using cash. I don't like that everything had to be paid by credit card. What is a person to do if they don't have a credit or debit card? I didn't like to use credit at some of these establishments as I had an incident where my credit card number was stolen when I bought a t-shirt.
Billy Idol - Still Going Strong
Cirque Dreams: Holidaze and his band with Steve Stevens are a genuine, down-to-earth live entertainment experience, receiving 5 stars.
The House of Blues, with an average rating of 4 stars, provides a setting for intimate concerts with performing artists.
Cirque Dreams: Holidaze is on top form and engages well with the audience, not resorting to superficial remarks about the host city.
The live sound of his band complements his voice well, creating an engaging performance atmosphere.
However, I found the music too loud at times, maybe because I'm getting old.
The House of Blues staff could improve their friendliness; some bouncers seemed intimidating.
Parking was not as bad as expected but still pricey, and it took several laps to find a safe spot.
Drinks at the venue are expensive, with a 24oz can of Bud Light costing $10.25 plus tip.
Jagged Edge was off the chain!
I was really surprised with the low turn out to see Cirque Dreams: Holidaze. First let me say that. I would have thought the house would have been packed but it wasn't. With that being said, the special surprise guests Carl Thomas and Donell Jones were definitely a treat. I love Donell Jones' music and could not get enough. Jagged Edge perform to my expectations singing all the hits. I wish he could have performed longer. Cirque Dreams: Holidaze was cool but not great. We left mid-way through his performance when we begin to yawn. In fact, the pace of his music after being pumped up with the performances by Donell and Jagged Edge made his performance boring and was putting us to sleep. I know who was the star of the show but I think the concert would have flowed better if he open, follow by Jagged Edge. I actually enjoy listening to his music on the radio. Overall can't that we truly got our money's worth but I love R&B and will continue to support R&B artists.
FANTASIA WAS AWESOME!!!!!
Fantasia was incredibly captivating, leaving me wanting more of her performance. The show Cirque Dreams: Holidaze was underwhelming, and I found myself leaving before it concluded as it failed to keep me engaged. Although I admire the artist's music, the presentation was lackluster. I would eagerly purchase another ticket to see Fantasia perform again. I was disappointed with the Orchestra seats I paid for, expecting a closer experience to the artist but ended up feeling deceived by the theater's seating arrangement. Despite the initial disappointment, Fantasia's outstanding performance made the entire experience worthwhile, soothing my disappointment.
